New Message Envelope Icon

Outlook 2007, Office Professional Plus 2007

When new message is recieved, the blue desktop mail alert appears, but the
envelope that is in the taskbar by the time does not.

I have already went into the properties on the taskbar, and looked under
customized- the envelope was restored to default, and still doesn't show when
there is a new message.

And in Outlook have you also gone into Tools | Options | E-mail Options |
Advanced E-mail Options and selected "Show an envelope icon in the
notification area"?

Did you ever find an answer to your question? I've done the whole "check the
box" and it still doesn't work. ???

Tools | Options | E-mail Options | Advanced E-mail Options and selected "Show
an envelope icon in the notification area" worked for me. I restarted my
computer also.
