NEW ISEARCH TOOL BAR.

I am have a small problem trying to get rid of a tool bar
from my internet browser. This ISearch tool bar just
appeared after surfing the web and now I can not remove
it. Any help would be great.

Try the uninstaller at http://www.isearch.com/faq.php

If unsuccessful with that, download, install, *update* and run Ad-aware from
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ It has been removing isearch.

If isearch is removed but your IE toolbar is still locked, go to
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/IEFAQ.htm > #32 Toolbars are locked.

Thank you for the information. I had exactly the same problem. When I ran
the uninstall from that website it gave the appearance of removing the damn
thing.

My firewall was penetrated to uninstall this crap.

Since it was maliciously added to my machine in the first place, what
assurance do I have that a malicious replacement with no user interface was
not installed in its place?

Who is responsible for his condition?

ISearch must have been a drive-by install. Go to
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm and
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/security.htm for security tips and other
information. You can keep this type of malware off of your computer.

Run Ad-aware and Spybot about once a week. I don't know what else to add
;-)
