New is greyed out in Inbox, Calendar etc

The 'New' button in Outlook 2003 is greyed out for all facilities (Inbox,
Calendar, Contacts etc.). When starting Outlook the New button is black for
less than a second and then goes grey. All used to work until recently. I
have tried re-installing Office 2003, updtade Activesync and Office, created
a new personal file but nothing prevents the new button going grey!
Any ideas please?

Have you activated your copy of Office/Outlook already?

Yes...on the original installation but not again since re-installing.

You need to reactivate. Do things work correctly in other Office programs
for you?

Tried to Activate since your last message. I go to Help, Activate Product...
and it does nothing! Your observation is correct; Word Save and Save As are
greyed out, similarly in Excel.
I will try uninstalling and re-installing from my original MS Office 2003
disk to see if I can get it to Activate Product!
