New Installation

Hello,

We like to install the following softwares:

Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server
Microsoft SQL 2003
Microsoft ISA server
Microsoft SharePoinf Portal Server

Can we use 2 PCs to handle all these servers? or we need 4 PCs? How many nic for each PC?

i.e.
server A handle Exchange and SQL
server B handle ISA and SharePoint Portal

p.s.
server A will handle vpn too
server B will handle our local web site

The answer depends on how many users, how much network traffic and how
big the systems will be. You generally would not want both SQL and
Exchange on the same system with much of a load. They both can use a lot
of memory and have a lot of file IO. Need more info on how they will be
used.

each PC has 1GB RAM and 200GB IDE Hard Disk

We need at least 2 Exchange Servers and 2 SQL servers, so they can backup each other.

We also need Local Web Site for about 50 uses.

About 15 local users, about 10 VPN users

We need ISA server to control internet connection

Well these are low traffic numbers so I think you will do fine with 2
PC's. You might want to up the memory to 2 gig but otherwise I think
they will work well. These will be basically like Windows Small Business
Servers.
