New install on XP Pro

I purchased new copy of xp and have been trying to install all goes well till
it reboots after copying files. I get "error loading operating system". Have
never had this happen before, I replaced the hard drive with new and still
the same thing. I have even tried to install on other machines and I get the
same message.

Take it back and exchange the cd.

Just a guess - is this on a new IDE hardrive or a new SATA ?.

If SATA - are the SATA drivers loaded ? ? ?.
