New IE windows lack status bar

Whenever I already have IE 6.0 for Windows XP open, and
then I open a new window of it (usually by pressing
Ctrl+N), it always lacks a status bar. This seems
senseless and stupid, and I am outraged that Microsoft
makes software so ass-backwards that I am forced to take
time out of my day to find a solution in a place like this.

Anyway, if anyone knows how to make the status bar
automatically appear in new IE windows, please advise.
Thank you for your help.

Go to Windows Explorer/View/Status Bar. Then go to Tools/Folder Options/View/Apply to all folders. Applies to IE as well.
