New head design for very rapid printing

This head design may be able to reduce clogs considerably, and /or
redundant nozzles may be integrated into the design, so should a nozzle
clog, another can take over for it,

Although I agree with you, that there are applications where dot matrix
offer the best option, I would not want to own a company that only sold
dot matrix machines in this market ;-)

Nothing obsolete about dot-matrix printers. For certain applications
they're still the best. I have an Epson LX400 sitting as a call logger on
my internal telephone system. Uses fanfold paper and ribbons last forever.

The main advantage of the dot matrix was that with the
right paper it would produce carbon copies in one pass.
That said it only seemed to work with fresh two part
fanfold carbon paper stock for a second duplicate copy.
