New Hardware wizzard in XP

I need to know how to turn off this obnoxios thing. I dont want it to detect
new hardware and I dont want it to reinstall my printer every blasted time I
turn it on.
Please someone help me disable this.
Also I need to get my printer off the start up line on the bottom right.
 
Contact the printer manufacturer's technical support and ask them how to
setup your printer. There may already be extensive information on this
topic on their website.
