New hardware wizard keeps adding printer with every restart

I found article 293370 on deleting a registry key to fix this very annoying
problem, which includes installing a copy of the printer device. When I
selected the key, the error message said: Cannot Delete: Error While Deleting
the Key.

I tried rebooting, going to regedit, etc. Same message.

What else can I do?

Change the permissions on the key so you have rights to delete it then
delete it.
