Allan

Since I installed XP, I finally got my 2 printers (Epson
Color Stylus 600 + Brother MFC4600) to work. However,
everytime my computer starts, I get a message saying 'new
hardware found' and it's a printer. XP then wants me to
install the printer. My 2 printers are in the control
panel under printers so they are not missing. How do I
get rid of this message. It is annoying now. Thanks for
your help.

Allan.

Allan - try this: go to Start - Run and type in "MSCONFIG"
then Enter. Then click on the Startup tab and see if there
is an entry for your printers. If so, clear it and do a re-
boot. As a last resort. uninstall both printers and reload
them!
