Hi, I had a blue screen problem last week. I now bought a new hard drive
and Windows XP Professional Edition. I just put the new hard drive in place.
My problem was that I couldn't get into windows after installing a new DVD-R
drive into my computer....and it basically shut down windows to the point
where I couldn't run it in Safe Mode or anything. Instead of reinstalling
Windows XP and losing EVERYTHING on my precious hard drive......I bought a
new hard drive so that I could install XP on the new hard drive. After I
install XP on the new hard drive, I plan on attaching my old hard drive to
the computer. I have both hard drives set to CS mode, although the new drive
is the only one attached to the mother board at the moment.
So, here I am now......my question is whether I'm supposed to start my
computer with the Western Digital (hard drive company) CD that came for
installation......or whether I'm supposed to install Windows XP first. So if
someone could give me a pointer, I'd greatly appreciate it!
