New Goo!

ZOMG, I found a nVidia 8800 GT at my local Best Buy!

For those of you who don't know, it's a new mid to high end nVidia card
that's getting better benchmark scores than the GTS models, runs cooler,
uses less wattage (smaller chipset process), and costs less than the GTS.

Amazing card, and WOW does LotRO look good in DirectX 10 mode! Too bad it
slows down like 40%, but dropping the resolution is a small price to pay for
how good the game looks.

I also heard the new ATi 38XX cards are pretty good too, cost less than the
GT above, and about the same speed reports.

Great time to put "Video Card" on your list to Santa! (Not to mention "Quad
Core")

I've been eyeing those myself. How's it run with Crysis? I want to
upgrade to one of those and an overclocked Q6600 processor. :) Yum!

Stop torturing yourself Andy get 2 8800GTX, you'll not be disapointed,
however your credit card might be :)

I got the Crysis demo, runs fine, not full speed, but it runs ok. Game
sucks, but I could stand and shoot trees til there were no trees left. I
uninstalled the game after about 30 minutes. You really need a crazy rig to
play the game, it's just not that great to justify the extra expendature.
LotRO looks good though, but their Dx10 engine slows down the game a bit.

I have $0 in debt, I won't go into debt so I can play video games, and as
you know I'm more into games like System Shock and Rollarcoaster Tycoon
which this card is pretty much overkill for. If I hadn't gotten the card for
$220 I would not of gotten it.
