New entries in Favourites won't sort alphabetically

Right click on any item in the Favorites list and select Sort by Name.
 
I do this, and then it is ok, but when I close IE and
reopen it, it's back to being muddled up,and i'm sick of
having to Sort By Name!!!

This was a problem in Me, that was supposedly fixed. Try re-arranging your
Favorites so they are in subfolders. There was a limit to the number of
favorites (based on the length of the name and other factors) that could be
in any individual folder (including the main listing).
 
True, I forgot that deleting the key would force them to sort automatically
:-) Since it can't write the values back..........
