New emails don't appear in inbox until I change folders

All of a sudden, when new email arrives, it doesn't display in the inbox. If
I change to another folder, and then go back to the inbox, the new email is
there. What is wrong?

I am having the same problem. I have to switch folders or restart outlook to
see new emails. They show in the navigation pane, but not the main message
window. What kind of configuration information do you need to help fix this?

I have the same problem as well and it started as soon as I loaded Outlook
2007 on my new laptop.

The number of emails will update when messages are downloaded, however, they
will not show in the main message window. I have to click another folder to
get the new emails to show.

Please let me know if anyone has a fix for this. Thanks, Matt

I am getting the same problem after installing Outlook 2007 on my new laptop.
I have played with several settings, and no luck getting it resolved.

I've seen evidence that Google Desktop Search can cause this issue.

I found a fix for mine.

I was using Outlook 2007 on XP running the PST on my own computer, NOT
thru
Exchange server....

Here is what I did. Click Tools>Trust Center>Add-ins.
Under Com-Add-ins
Click the Add-ins you are not using, click the Go Button, & uncheck
each
item you are not using. I unchecked Google Search & AVG, I am not sure
what
item did it for me.

Also under Exchange Clent Extensions, uncheck the items there as well
you
are not using.

I was able to leave the PDF one in there & get my outlook working
again.
