I would like to install a new hard drive [ c: ] in my home built PC. I have
the original OEM disc plus the original Product key. Is this possible or is
another copy of XP going to be needed?

Presumably you wish to clone your existing disk to your
new disk. If so then you could use the cloning program
that the manufacturer of your new disk makes available
on his home site. When finished with the cloning process,
make sure to reboot the machine with only the new disk
connected for the first boot-up. The old disk must be
disconnected.
