new document with 7 pages

Hi gurus,

whenever I start ms word, the new document that comes out by default
(document1) is always with 7 pages instead of 1 page. please what can I do to
solve this problem?

Your Normal template most probably has got changed to have 7 pages in it.
You need to edit it to remove them.

Open Word
Press Alt+F11 to open the VBE
Press Ctrl+g to open (or switch to) the Immediate window
In the Immediate window type NormalTemplate.OpenAsDocument and press Enter
Press Alt+F4 to close the VBE
Delete the extra pages from the template
Save the template
Close Word

Open Word again and check that all is well.
