A well designed database is absolutely necessary before you start building
an application. If your database is correctly designed, a lot of things
become very easy. If your database is poorly designed almost everything
become very difficult.
A table (in Access) is a "bucket o' data". You can try to throw everything
you want to know into the same bucket, but if you do that, you might as well
be using a spreadsheet instead.
As Klatuu points out (and Jeff Conrad's website elucidates), to get the best
out of Access' features and functions, you need to understand something of
relational database structure and normalization.
A "bucket o' data" is like a "bucket o' chicken"
If all the parts are in the same bucket, you will get your fingers all
greasy trying to find a drumstick

Thanks for all of your help guys!!! Hopefully this website will be all I
need. If not, I will be back. Now I'm hungry for fried chicken...
