new computer, need old messages

I purchased a new computer, but when I re-set up my e-mail in Windows mail,I
only have new email coming in to me and cannot access all my prior emails
that were in Outlook Express. How do I retrieve those and my address book?

Copy all of the Outlook express .dbx files (including folders.dbx) from the
XP computer to a temporary folder on the Vista computer

Open Windows Mail, File - Import - Messages - Microsoft Outlook Express 6
import from OE6 store directory
find the temporary folder where you copied the .dbx files (BUT DON'T OPEN
IT).
Next.... etc.

If you want to import your contacts, copy the .wab file over, and do a
similar File - Import
of the Windows Contacts.
