Yep. I tried the Panda. The teddy bear was cute to look at during the
login screen. However, its just as intrinsically infringing upon the OS by
slowing it down like NAV and McAfee.

I agree. I used Panda when it had a small footprint. Then it got just
as bloated as NAV. I've switched to NOD32 and haven't looked back.
