New computer can't log into domain after administrator password change

Hello,

I've taken over a network from a previous admin and was
told that the password hadn't been changed in a while
(years...) for the administrator account. From what I can
see everything looks intact on the administrator account
and it is fully enabled.

Anyway, the problem is that I have a computer which wasn't
on the network, wasn't present in active directory (under
OU 'Computers'), I then entered this computers information
into Active directory and replicated the change across the
domain. When trying to log into the network from this
computer using the administrator account, it will display
the message 'account has been disabled, contact your SA'.
If I login under my own account (which has all the same
priveleges) it works fine. Logging locally on this
machine using the admin account works fine, only when
logging into the domain do I recv the prob.

If I go to another computer that has been a part of this
network for a while and is clearly present in AD, I can
logon no problems. I've chk'd around and no one is having
connection problems this morning, nothing out of the
ordinary, everything over all looks fine ...

What worries me is in the future when I rebuild some
computer from scratch (or rename a computer) and then try
to connect to the domain... and it doesn't work... I'd
like to clear the problem now while I"m ahead, somewhat...

Any Ideas??

Seen this before It has to do with policies, I think that
computer was a member of another domain am I correct/ well
it should have been removed from the former domain and
then added to the new domain, it is not advisable to just
change domains in AD withour first removing the machine
from it's former domain I had to rebuild a few servers
because of that. just rebuild the machine or do a
parralell install to retreive any files you may need from
it

Thanks. Well, the computer in question hadn't been within
any other domian prior to this problem, just wasn't used
for quite a while. The first time I removed it from the
domain and rejoin it it didn't do the trick the 'account
is disabled' appeared. I did the remove and rejoin
process again again and boom it works fine. Very odd. Is
there any possibility that when changing the administrator
processes have to be performed within AD to accomodate
this? I know very little about AD other than the surface
stuff (just started reading more).

ANyway, everything looks good, thanks for your help.
