I was thinking with analog shut off in 2 years its time for digital. Using
the GPU for encoding/decoding. If I understand AVIVO correctly it might make
sense to have them in the same card. More so than now anyway.
Yes, it will have to have hardware MPEG. But more to the point, it will
have to deal with NTSC, ATSC, probably QAM and perhaps even cablecard.
The TV world is changing drastically at this time, and any new AIW card
has to keep up. That said, I'm very happy with my AIW 2006 PCI Express
edition.
