New AD installation with errors....

Milos Puchta

I have not managed to promote two Windows 2003
Enterprise Servers to Domain Controllers without
any error. I do not mean W32Time and similar warnings,
but fundamental connection issues.
Either DNS, LDAP, GPO or something else does not
work, giving warning or error messages.
I am using the same procedure, that work for Windows
2000 many times, but the in Windows 2003 does not
end in the desired state.
Here are some errors:

LSASRV ID 40960 (on the first Domain Controller DC1)
The security system detected an authentication errorfor the server
LDAP/DC1. The failure code from authentication protocol Kerberos
was " There are currently no logon servers available to service
to logon request. (0x000005e)"

LSASRV ID 40961 (on the first Domain Controller DC1)
The Security System could not establish a secure connection
with the server LDAP/DC1. No authentication protocol is
availabloe.

USERENV ID 1097 (on the second Domain Controller SA1)
Windows cannot find the machine account. The Local Security
Authority cannot be contacted.

USERENV ID 1030 ( on the second Domain Controller SA1)
Windows cannot query for the list of group Policies objects.
Check the event log for possible messages previously logged by
the policy engine that describe the reason for this.

Any idea?
Rgds,
Milos
