new access application

Questions about creating an .net ‘executable’ 2005 that will not remained
installed once a user enters some data into the application. I also want this
applcation to not require any previous software installed on a users
workstation.
I basically want to setup an application for new users when they are
applying for insurance. This application would preferably be a run as a
windows desktop application versus on the internet. Once the user enters the
save or submit button, I want the application to send the data back to be
processed on a Sql server 2000 or sql server 2005 database.
I have Visual Studio.net 2005 currently and would like suggestions on how
to do steup this type of an application using Visual Basic.net 2005.

Thanks!

I was incorrect. I meant to say that I wanted to run this an an access
executable.

Thanks!

I also responded to your posting in the m.p.access.devtoolkits
newsgroup.

You can't do what you want with an Access or even a .Net executable.
Access requires a runtime to be installed. .Net requires the CLR
which may or may not be present on the PC in question.

My comments in that other newsgroup are still relevant though for an
Access executable.

Please crosspost to a few appropriate newsgroups in the newsgroups
line of your newsgroup software (separated by commas) rather than
multiposting individual postings to multiple newsgroups. Assuming you
even need to post to more than one newsgroup in the first place.

We ask this is because different people can respond to your postings
in different newsgroups duplicating effort on our part.
