I have two rooms. Room A has 15+ pc's and room B 5+. All
running either XP Home or Pro. Each room is on a
different workgroup and are connected over the network.
Currently all pc's dial out(broadband) and have static
ip's. I need to introduce Internet Connection Sharing. An
ICS pc will be set up in room A and one in room B. When
sharing an internet connection the host pc's IP is set to
192.168.0.1. Will this not be a problem if i have two ICS
pc's on one network? Is there a way to change an ICS pc's
IP address? I connected room A up with an ICS Server and
all client pc's in room A have static ip's. All is fine
in Room A.
Room B is not sharing an internet connection and all pc's
are dialing out. They(Room A and Room B's workgroups) are
no longer visible to each other. How do I set up an ICS
server in room B and connect both Room A and Room B over
a network?
All suggestions will be appreciated!
Peace to all.

Why do you need two ICS machines. What is wrong with one??????????

N.B. The fact that the machines are in different workgroupos is totally
irrelevant to the IP/ICS side of things.

Um,

If all PCs in both rooms have broadband access to the internet (that's
what you said in your post) then why do you need to set up one host in
each room for ICS in the first place? If all the machines are using
broadband and connecting, then none of them need a host.
