When i access my network places, then view workgroup computers it takes
about 2-3 mins
for the computers on the network to come up.

Any Ideas??

Could be the hub you are using. Are you using a hub or a
switch? Cable distance can also be a factor. Have you
assigned Static IP addresses or are they set to
automatically obtain?

What network protocols are you using?
Having unnecessary protocols installed is once common cause of slow
network performance.

Check the items installed in Control Panel - Network for each machine
on the network.
