now our problem is that only limited users can access to the network and the
rest just on n off to the network. So hw am I going to solve this problem
where every users can ran to network without any problem at all. Sometime
there will be 4 pcs cannot ran to network and we hve to wait abt the latest 1
day thn we can access to network. Please assist me how to solve this problem
coz our company doesnt have any IT guy. And 1 more things regarding the
printers. Example I hve 4 pcs ran in the network and share the printer but
only 2 pc can use the printer except this 2 pcs cannot access to network
printer. So izit the printer problem or network problem??Your kindly reply
will be appreciate. Thank you!!!

Windows XP Home is limited to 5 and XP Pro is limited to 10
active connections. You need to use the server or get some
routers to create some nodes. You really need to get a
local person to be an IT guy to get you setup.

http://www.howtoforge.com/samba_setup_ubuntu_5.10 will help you to easily
set up a Linux server for print and file sharing.

Tony, explain me ur problem whit details becouse help u

OK,

pd./ details is so much important, SO/ ROUTERS AND EVERYTHING

Bye

Basically the set up will not work well without a server. XP & W2000 have
limits to the number of PC's that can connect to them. Either the company
will have to pay for a windows server or install a free linux one on a spare
PC. If all the PC's are connected together, its just a matter of adding a
server to the network to which all the PC's can connect.

If you are not sure how to do it yourself, then it would be best to pay
someone to do it for you or do some studying on the internet.

Without knowing exact details of your setup it is difficult to give a
solution and in any case it would take too long to go through the whole
process.

If its just printer sharing you need, a print server may be the solution.
