I have two computers using Home that network fine. They
have different user names but neither is password
protected. My XP Pro laptop will not network with them.
I get the "You may not have permission to use this
network resource...." message when I try to access into
or out of the laptop.

Firewall is off on all. I have NetBIOS over TCP/IP and
Computer Browser service started on all.

Any suggestions?

This could be to a viraty of things...

1st: Click on My Computer, Right Click On C: And Make Sure It Is Shared (On All Computers). Then, Go To Start and Click on Control Panel. On the side click on "switch to classic view". Then, double click on Administrative Tools and then double click on "Computer Managment." Once loaded, click on the + sign on Shared Folders (submenu of "System Tools.) Click on shares find your Hard Drive (it may C$) Once found right click on it and click Propeties. Once there click on "Share Peremmisions". There shopuld be "everyone" there. Make sure that the permissions at the bottom are on "Full Control" Press "OK" and quit. Now try acessing your Home LAN. If you have and problems or it still dosent work, email me @ (e-mail address removed)
