I am trying to set up a network with my computers. When
I try to run the wizard for one of them I keep getting
splloer subsystem app error and it will not finish the
set up. The other computer is set up

Do this:

1. Open up a command prompt.
2. Type the following and press Enter:

net stop spooler

3. Run the Network Setup Wizard.
4. Go back to the command prompt and type the following and press Enter:

net start spooler

5. Enjoy your network.

Greetings David,

Richard's suggestion will work and is a workground by stopping the spooler
service before running the Network Setup Wizard. However, a fix is available
by obtaining the latest service pack for Windows XP. Download and install
Service Pack 2 (SP2). This will also ensure you are protecting yourself
against the latest security issues by downloading the latest updates and
fixes to known problems.
