Have set up a network between Windows 98 desktop and Laptop Wxp and can
read each computer. I previously had a Broadband connection straight to the
Laptop. In setting up ICS on the laptop the modem has been disconnected. In
the properties of the Internet connection window it states: connected using,
the small box is ticked and instead of naming the modem it says 'removed
copperjet modem connecting ..' with a red cross at the side. The modem is
indicating it is working correctly with the two green lights on, as it
should be when ready to connect. I can't find a way to reinstall this modem
even with the original software as the modem is showing it is ready to go.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you. Ron.

Go into device manager and it shut down and restart. New found hardware
wizard should detect it then just follow the instructions to add the new
found device.

Thanks for your reply, the modem didn't show up in device manager. I
