networking problem

Hi,

I have several problems with networking on my PC which I think are all
related:
1. I can not ping my own IP.
2. I can not browse my network place because I get an error message that I
don't have permission.
3. I can access shared folder on PC by its short name but not by its IP and
only on the local machine not over the network.
4. I check the driver on my NIC, updated them to the most recent, the device
is working correctly. I have 2 onboard NIC that I teamed up together. Could
it be a reason?
5. I can access the internet with no problem.

I have try to look for answer all over and i am running out of ideas. Any
fresh ideas are welcome.
Thank you

1. I can not ping my own IP.
That is pretty-much a fundamental problem, assuming you are using the
correct internal IP. Type ipconfig /all into a commandprompt to verify this.
5. I can access the internet with no problem.
That is rather surprising, given the above. I take it the Internet is
accessed via an Ethernet router?

Areas to check are a faulty third-party firewall, or malware. LSPFix may be
able to tell you if there is a TCP-stack impostor present.

I team NICs on servers for fault-tolerance, and I've not noticed any
problems such as this.
