networking problem

I have 5 Desk top PC along with my laptop working in my office with WIN XP
PRO. Whenever I sart my Laptop i can see all the computer in the workgroup
except MY own. Others also canot view me. BUT if we surch for my laptop by
using CRTL+F than it shoes me. Why I or others cant see me on the network
without usning CTRL+F .

Can any one have solution to this. I shall be greatfull

This is most frequently caused by a misconfigured or overlooked personal
firewall, or other security component. There are several other possibilities
too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this article with an open

You could look at "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from the problem
computer, and from two others, and diagnose the problem. Read this article, and

Sound like computer browser issue. Use browstat to check the master browser status. Or this search result may help,
