I am setting up a wireless network in our office - MAIN computer running XP,
2ND computer running XP Pro.

We cannot run the Network Setup Wizard on the M computer because there is no
floppy. Also - When it says "Select a connection method", the 2nd option
<This computer connects to the Internet through residential gateway or
through another computer on my network> is pre-selected, but is incorrect.
The MAIN computer is connected directly to the Internet via dsl line.

I did disable Windows Firewall, thinking that might be the problem.

We have identified the resources to be shared on both computers.

The 2nd computer CAN get files from the M computer, and is connected to the
internet. The M computer cannot get files from the 2nd compute r- it says
access is denied.

Please help!! We need this running smoothly today. Thanks SOO much in advance!

Hi
You do not need a Floppy to configure Windows Network settings; it can be
done independently on each computer.

You might consider setting your computers Networking and sharing the
Internet with a Cable/DSL Router.

The page above was written by me ages ago. You might ignore the prices and
Brand recommendations. The principles however are still the same.
