Networking help required....

hello,
In my college network,all the hostel blocks are connected to one
server. I can ping to the computers but cannot view them in network
neighbourhood. Each hostel has a different internal network(that is,
different routers nd switches)

if they are in the different subnet, you need to WINS server to browse them. You need the network administrator to help on this matter. Or just do the mapping.
