I am having trouble networking my XP to my co-workers
Windows ME. We can recognize eachothers computers and can
both get online but we cannot share or send files. We ran
setup wizard on XP and created floppy like described but
Windows ME edition will not allow floppy to run, how do I
allow floppy to run? What needs to be done to share files?

The network setup floppy might refuse to run because of a problem with
the network card or the card's driver program. You can make the same
settings manually that the floppy would make. On ME, go to Control
Panel | Network and:

1. Add these network components if they aren't already present:

TCP/IP protocol
Client for Microsoft Networks
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks

2. Remove these network components if they're present:

IPX/SPX protocol
NetBEUI protocol
Client for NetWare networks

3. Configure TCP/IP to obtain an IP address automatically.

4. Set the workgroup name to MSHOME.
