I need some advice regarding home networking. We have the main computer on
win 2000nt, thesecond on xp home ed sp2, yet we cant get the 2nd pc on line.
we keep getting limited or no connectivity, we have tried all the usual
methods but still cant sort it out, please help ?

The message "limited or no connectivity" could have a variety of causes:
- External failure - bad or wrong cable (wired), computer out of range from
router (wireless);
- Hardware failure - dead nic;
- Software failure - bad nic drivers;
- Network corruption - LSP / Winsock corruption;
- Network configuration - DHCP server configured to ignore your MAC address.

Try and tell us what specific remedies you have tried, maybe we can think up
some more for you to try.
