Hello I am trying to setup the home network with XP Home on both Pcs . The
problem is even though farely new PCs neither had the floppy disk drives.
When I try to run network wizard it only uses the floopy? Is there a way to
do this with cd rom drives?

You can just run the network wizard independently on each machine..without
making and using a floppy.
You just will need to remember the settings..........pencil and paper come
to mind

Just run the network setup wizard on both PC's. You really don't need to
create a network setup floppy. Two of my PC's don't have floppys either and
setting up a home network with file and printer sharing was a piece of cake.

No need to do that, when all you really need to do is remember the name of
the workgroup (for example, the default is "mshome"), and what the other
computers are named so that you don't use the same name. You'll be done in
a few minutes, probably less time than making the diskettes.

Incidentally, many new systems don't have floppy drives; floppies are too
small. But for some tasks and occasions you do need them, so purchasing an
external USB-connected floppy drive can be a good idea.

For example, and this is not an endorsement of any vendor, just a convenient
