Network user password problems

I am running a mixed mode W2K domain requiring complex
passwords
The clients are a mix of XP and W2K.
PROBLEM
Some users on XP clients do not receive warning of
password expiration.

Some cannot change their password at all on the XP
systems.

Others get a warning of the expiration but can not change
it at that time. They can change it before the warning.

Still others get warning to change password more often
that set on the server.

Any help will be appreciated since users are getting
frustrated.

To email directly delete the removethis_ from the email

First, how many DCs and are you certain that they
are properly in sync?
Next, are the clients correctly in contact with domain
control ?
Use of netdiag and dcdiag on each DC is a start for
determining the first, use of netdiag on a client is a
start for determining the second. These are tools in
the optional support / tools (of the server CD) install.
 
Will Try that when I return to work on Monday.
This problem has frustrated me for weeks
