Network Traffic Problem

In the last six our seven hours, our Win2k server mail server (running IMail
7) has suddenly been hit with a helluva lot of traffic. The logs pretty
much show that it isn't mail traffic, and our gateway router blocks all the
MS filesharing protocols. Is there any sort of traffic monitor I can stick
on this server to try to figure out the nature of the attack (our router
stats are showing the attack as well, so it's definitely from the outside).

What firewall are you using?

Most firewalls will allow you to see the traffic type, source, and block
as needed.

If you don't have a firewall, then you need to get one.
