I have two machines with the same network problem. All of
a sudden the web, telnet and other applications stop
taling to the network. A reboot cures it for awhile, then
after a random interval the network applications won't
work. The lights on the card are blinking and the
networking shows active in the control panel, but nothing
works. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Steven,

Just before rebooting, see exactly what doesn't work.

Do both computers show the problem at the same time?

From a command window:
1) Ping www.yahoo.com.
2) Ping 66.94.230.33.
Report success / exact text of error messages.

From your browser:
3) Browse www.yahoo.com.
4) Browse 66.94.230.33.
Report success / exact text of error messages.

Please provide ipconfig information for each computer.
Start - Run - "cmd". Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command
window - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.
Identify operating system (by name and version) with each ipconfig listing.

And Steven, please don't contribute to the spread and success of email address
mining viruses. Learn to munge your email address properly, to keep yourself a
bit safer when posting to open forums. Protect yourself and the rest of the
internet - read this article.
