Network Shortcuts Stop working

R

Robert

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have some network folder shortcuts on my desktop. When
I login, I can click on the shortcuts to go to the
appropriate directories on the network drives. But after
a while, it stops working. I click on the shortcuts and
nothing happens. I also notice in Task Manager that
there are several instances of Explorer.exe, as if the
shortcut opened up. Suggestions?
In addition, when shutting down, I get a message saying
that "PROXY DESKTOP" is having problems shutting down.
Is this related?

Instead of using network short cuts i recommend that u use map network connections and then select the option Reconnect on logon. In this way u will know whether the connection was successful and it will show in Explorer.
