Ok, first off I hope this is the right place to post this, if not I am sorry.
I have a Windows XP machine on the domain because I need to add a specific
group in order to access our share. My question is how can I make it so when
I go to a users machine and try to access this share, to force for
credentials rather then using the users cached credentials and receive an
access denied message.
I do know if I put the machine in a workgroup it will work, but like I said
I need a specific domain group to be added so it has to be on the domain. As
of right now we have the everyone group in the permissions in order to access
this share. We do not want this, as we do not want any user being able to
access this share, but I need to be able to access it from a user's account
who does not have permissions.
I tried to set the reg key cachedlogonscount to 0 on the XP machine but that
doesn't work. I can NOT do this on everyones machine as there are
applications that require the cached credentials.
If I am not explaining myself clearly please let me know.
