hello,
Just going through the new upgrade of the Windows Vista. I get this question
in the sign on box "Network security key is required". Can Someone please
point me in the correct direction for this. I am not quit sure what access it
is wanting the key for. Thank you

No idea, did you upgrade a system on a domain? Modify any defaults during
setup?

It sounds like it's asking for the encryption key for your wireless
network. Do you have a wireless network (or is there one nearby), and
is the computer wireless-capable?

I am having the same problem. Did you ever get a solution?

That sounds like Wireless, you need a WEP security key (or similar) to
use that particular network. If not yours then maybe it is detecting a
neighbor's.

Got it! This is a "password" set up by your router. I think XP ignores it,
but Vista needs it. I found it by chatting with Linksys. It is a very long
set of upper and lower case numbers and letters. You can probably find it in
your wireless properties. Once you find it and plug it in, you shouldn't need
it again.
