Network Ready Printers compatible with Vista 32x

I am having so many issues with my Vista and HP 6100xi series All-in-one!
I tried to hook up a print server two different brands, but most of them are
not compatible with both Vista and the printer. I want to buy a reasonably
priced Network Printer any suggestions will help!

I not up on all the new printers but we have an HP 8450 that we got a couple
of years ago that is a network printer that works fine with both XP and Vista
on our home nerwork.

I bought a Brother MFC-7820N that is compatable with Vista and prints fine.
I am having some problem printing from DOS other than that it works fine.
