Network Range Trouble

Hello.

I recently set up a wireless network for my friend. Its all running smothley
except that they have a shed at the end of the garden where they they have a
pc. With the current setup there is a wireless router in the house on the
windowsill nearest the shed, and the pc in the shed has a usb adapter high up
on the wall, the maximum signal it can get is low and today has started
getting no signal, a wireless laptop also wants to be used in the shed. There
are two ways i can think of overcoming this problem of low signal in the
shed. The first is to get a wireless bridge box and put that in the shed, but
would that recieve enough signal to work properly. The second idea is to run
a cable from the house router to a bridge/access point in the shed, if this
would work what cable would i need? a ethernet?

Thank you

They make high gain antenna's for both indoor & outdoor use. Check with the
manufacturer of the access point/router. If not, as long as it uses standard
connectors, you can buy an aftermarket antenna.
