Network Problems Here, Please help if you can

B

Bob G

I have two computers in a network. They are both in the same workgroup.

I am able to browse a network share from computer a to computer b. the
share is on computer b.

I can browse all folders and files from computer a via the share on computer
b.

when i attempt to copy a file from computer b to computer a, I get the
following error in windows:

"An error occurred copying filename the speicified network name is no
longer available(64)"

Remember I'm copying a file from a network share that I can browse EVERY
file on.

I have no idea what's going on here. From all my experience with networks,
this should NOT be happening.

Can someone shed some light as to WHY I can't copy the files?

thank you,

bob

Does this happen with even just one file?

Are you dragging files in explorer or using the command line?

Are you using TCP/IP?

What are the computer names - (no spaces or strange characters in names)
