I am integrating a new Vista laptop in to my home network. one desk top has
ME , one has 98SE. All will reach the internet but the vista is not visible
to the desk tops
and the vista cant see the desktops, yet the desk tops network just fine.
they are all the same work group. firewall permissons are set.
they will all ping each other, I am lost, I am sure it must be something
simple

Thanks, Lynn

Robert, Thank you so much , I enabled net bios over tcp/ip on the desktops
and
it seamed to have solved the problem.
