Have you experienced this issue recently? The newest builds - .613 and
higher, are intended to greatly reduce the need for the winsock lsp fix.
I'm interested in hearing directly about whether this is doing the job--i.e.
have you had a winsock lsp breakage in removing spyware with the newer
builds?
Now that you mention it Bill, that does seem to be one which has nicely gone
to sleep. It's been quite a while since I've seen reference to LSP's in
here.
Me too! Microsoft hasn't said "gone completely"--but they sure aren't
visible here these days. I see a few citations of the relevant KB, but they
are more in the "try this" mode than it being crystal clear what the issue
is.
