network printing stops working but reboot fixes

I am trying to help someone who is having problems printing. He says that
sometimes printing from his XP computer to a network printer stops working,
but after rebooting the machine, it works fine again. Where might I start
troubleshooting this problem??

From your discription sound like that you are getting Spool errors on
printing. Most likely you are using a HP printer. Delete and reloades the
printer drivers and if that dont fix it, Alter the spool option to RAW.
