i have not installed a network printer before and just want to ask if this is
what i can expect to do

1. plug the HP2800 series AIO into the router (workgroup)
2. install the HP software onto one pc
3. use the add a printer method in xp

do i repeat 2 and 3 on all pc's?
do I actually create a share on the printer?

I don't find such a printer as an "All In One" but I do find a "Business
Inkjet" with that model number. If it has a network port, you plug it into
the network, then use the Add Printer wizard to add it to each computer you
want to use it. You'll want to select the option to add a local printer
(don't autodetect), then add a new port, add a TCP/IP port, and input the IP
address of the printer. The rest is like installing any local printer.

sorry its the HP 2820 AIO.

There is a software disk for the printer. Do i install this just on one pc
and then other others download the driver for it from that pc?

One other question...if a printer is connected to the network router with
cat5 cable this mean it's always available to other machines, so why would i
buy a router with a print server component? To manage queues perhaps?
