Network Neighborhood

Dear All,

as all of you know, in Network Neighborhood window network names appear and
comments in the right side if specified.

Please, what is the quick way ( key register I suppose) to modify comment ,
not just for windows2000 but windowsxp, windows nt, windows 98 too.

net config server /srvcomment:"<computer description>" is the quickest way.
Note that Microsoft does not recommend this. See: 824386 Computer
Description Appears Before the Computer Name in the My Network
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=824386. Instead, they recommend that you
edit the value of
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters
\srvcomment instead. See KB 824386 for more details.

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that
may require you to reinstall Windows. Microsoft cannot guarantee that
problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved.
Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
